About the Role
Stonegrove Roofing Partners is seeking an Acquisition Associate to focus on deal origination across our growing roofing platform. This role sits within our Partner Services team and is responsible for building and developing a pipeline of acquisition opportunities by engaging directly with owner-operators across target markets.

This is a front-end origination role. You will be responsible for identifying, contacting, and developing relationships with business owners, many of whom are not actively for sale, and guiding early-stage conversations around a potential transaction.

This role is best suited for individuals with experience in lower middle market M&A advisory, business brokerage, or similar environments where you have been directly responsible for sourcing and originating deals.

What You Will Do

  •  Identify and map target roofing companies across priority geographies 
  •  Build and maintain a proprietary pipeline of acquisition opportunities 
  •  Execute outbound outreach to business owners, brokers, and industry contacts 
  •  Develop relationships with founder-operators and guide early sale conversations 
  •  Source both on-market and off-market opportunities 
  •  Conduct initial screening of opportunities including basic financial and operational assessment 
  •  Track and manage all activity within the CRM 
What This Role Is Not

  •  This is not a financial modeling or execution-heavy investment role 
  •  This is not a passive inbound deal environment 
  •  Success in this role is driven by outbound activity, persistence, and relationship building 
What We Are Looking For

  •  3 to 7 years of experience in M&A advisory, business brokerage, investment banking, or direct deal origination 
  •  Demonstrated experience sourcing or originating deals, not just supporting execution 
  •  Comfort with high-volume outbound outreach and building relationships from scratch 
  •  Strong communication skills with the ability to engage directly with business owners 
  •  Self-starter who thrives in a high-autonomy, performance-driven environment 
Compensation

  •  Performance-driven compensation with significant upside tied directly to closed acquisitions 
  •  Base draw provided to support ramp 
Location

  •  Based in the New York area, with flexibility for candidates within commuting distance 
Compensation: $85,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
